Welcome to our 3rd bulletin of this academic year and first of 2024. Our pattern is to broadcast a detailed update every half term to all schools, trusts and education settings in Halton, Warrington and Wigan.

Please note the expansion of the NPQ suite from this term (Primary Maths) and the final date of 28th January to enrol on the fully funded NPQs starting in February 2024.

02 Utilising the Early Career Framework Offer – CLICK HERE
Updates for school leaders and induction tutors on how to benefit from the fully funded programme to train and mentor Early Career Teachers. New ECTs can be registered now to join this term’s programme.

Updates and information for Induction Tutors and school leaders on the service to assess an ECT’s induction.
06 Specialist NPQs – CLICK HERE
Book by 28th January to access the fully funded* specialist NPQs. We now have Primary Maths added to the suite alongside NPQs in Leading Literacy, Teacher Development, Behaviour and Culture and Teaching. Future funding is not guaranteed or confirmed so this may be the last opportunity to enrol and access the subsidy.
07 Leaders Insight – CLICK HERE
School and Trust leaders who want to book onto the last round of fully funded leadership NPQs the deadline is 28th January. NPQs in Early Years Leadership, Senior Leadership,. Headship and Executive Leadership are available. Small schools can also access additional grants for enrolling teachers on NPQs.
08 Initial Teacher Training Info – CLICK HERE
Details of our next ITT network meeting on 8th March is available to all local providers of teacher training. Plus details on the forthcoming changes to the teacher training year, maths training for mentors and a school participation survey.

Final chance to sign up for fully funded the ECF Plus programme for teachers in year 3 and 4 since gaining QTS. Also, view our latest EYFS blog and details on the latest, fully funded support for teachers on paternity leave.
