6th March 2025 3.45-4.45
This discussion will be hosted by Whole School SEND’s National Delivery Coordinator, Caroline Sutton-Reid, and everyone will be encouraged to join in, ask questions and share experiences. As such, content will be responsive but may cover some or all of the following themes:
- The importance to learning of both working memory and long-term memory.
- How to identify and support learners with poor working memory.
- The three functions of long-term memory – encoding, storage and retrieval.
- Strategies to help learners retain and retrieve the information they need for learning.
6th March 9.30-12.30
This half day online conference is hosted by Whole School SEND as part of the Universal SEND Service Contract funded by the DfE and is free to attend.
This event is a response to feedback from the education workforce following the Preparing for Adulthood (PfA) Review Guide Regional Training delivered in 2023 and will be a celebration of everything schools and colleges are already doing and can do to support learners with SEND in their preparation for adulthood.
