Additional Support Post 16 Maths Teachers
Maths teachers from secondary schools and post-16 settings across Halton, Warrington and Wigan can access a range of different professional development and support programmes from our local Maths Hubs:
New to Core Maths Work Group
For teachers in their first two years of delivering Core Maths and teaching Core Maths in 2022-23, there is the fully funded New to Core Maths Work Group.

Developing Core Maths Pedagogy Work Group
There is a fully funded Developing Core Maths Pedagogy Work Group colleagues can join.
This Work Group is specifically aimed at teachers who already have experience teaching Core Maths but wish to develop their practice further through professional discussion with colleagues from other schools and colleges.
This will be hosted by North-West One and they are offering an online version as well as a blended option. There is a choice of two groups, one starting 11th October and the other on 8th November 2022 both are 5 sessions through to the summer term.

GCSE Resit
The Cheshire and Wirral Maths Hub are also offering a fully funded Developing Core Maths Pedagogy Work Group. They are also the closest Maths Hub that is hosting the Supporting Post-16 GCSE Resit Work Group to our whole area (Halton, Warrington and Wigan).
