New Peer Support Programme for Teachers

Bookings are open for a new peer support programme available to teachers in Halton, Warrington and Wigan who have completed their professional induction.

As part of our commission to promote the golden-thread of teacher development, creating a coherence of professional development for teachers and leaders at all stages of their career, we are delighted to have been able to create this evidence based CPD offer in response to demand from local schools.

The programme is specifically designed for teachers who are in their 3rd or 4th year since gaining QTS (or equivalent); bridging the gap between the Early Career Framework and readiness for joining the National Professional Qualifications.

Starting on 17th January 2024 and running until November 2024, this is a new programme of 6 half day in-person seminars specifically designed for teachers who have just completed their professional induction.

Led by experienced school leaders from Primary and Secondary phases, and building upon the learning in the Early Career Framework the interactive, practical based sessions will provide support, ideas and insight valuable to a teacher early in their career.

This first programme is open to teachers from across our Hub area to apply. A second programme based in Wigan is being confirmed and details will be released shortly.
