Access three new Specialist NPQs at no cost!
Generate Teaching Hub is proud to be working with Best Practice Network (BPN) to deliver the fully funded National Professional Qualifications (NPQs) to colleagues across Halton, Warrington and Wigan area.
Generate Teaching Hub is coordinating local cohorts of teachers to complete each NPQ, using experienced school leaders from our area as facilitators.
The frameworks for the NPQs have been updated and expanded for Autumn 2021 and draw from the very latest evidence and research into pedagogy, behaviour, curriculum and more.
To best address the broad range of responsibilities of current and aspiring middle leaders, three new specialist NPQs have been introduced which support alternate career development. Each Specialist NPQ is:
- Fully funded to state school teachers (subject to checks);
- 12 months in length;
- Blends 3 days of facilitated training with 3 online learning courses (34 hours);
- Offers 6 hours performance coaching;
- 18 hours of formative assessment tasks, to support the in-school application of learning;
- Summative assessment completed over an additional 3 months.
The three Specialist NPQs available are:
NPQ for Leading Teaching (NPQLT)
For those who are, or aspire to, lead teaching in a subject, year group, key stage or phase – download a brochure.
NPQ for Leading Behaviour and Culture (NPQLBC)
For those who are, or aspire to, lead behaviour and culture and/or pupil well-being – download a brochure.
NPQ for Leading Teacher Development (NPQLTD)
For those who are, or aspire to, lead the development of other teachers, e.g. Mentors of Trainee Teachers or Early Career Teachers – download a brochure.
In October 2021, the DfE announced all NPQs are fully funded for state school teachers. For other applicants, the price for each NPQ are £899.
