Curriculum Hub Updates October 2023
There are a number of curriculum hubs funded by the DfE to provide schools with CPD, resources, guidance and research on several core subjects across all phases and specialisms.
All hubs are listed on our website with information and links.
Maths Hubs
The NCETM now has over 70 podcasts each around 20 minutes long on topics covering early years to post 16 teaching.
English Hub Webinars
St. John Vianney English hub is organising a series of reader leader networks online in 2023/24 and open sessions for interested teachers.
English Hub Showcase
Join St. John Vianney on 17th October for a visit to their school and participating in one of their regular showcase events.
Secondary Teachers Reading Framework
St. John Vianney English Hub is offering another webinar for secondary teachers to introduce the reading framework.
Science Learning Partnership
Schools can access trained physics coaches for bespoke support to teachers.
Computer Hubs
Teachers can access a network of computing hubs to receive training, information and resources. All computing CPD is now fully-funded for state-maintained schools in England. Subsidies are available for eligible schools, schools can find out more on this website.
RE Hubs
There are a series of events in the Northwest to support RE teaching available in October and November 2023.
Early Years Stronger Practice Hub
A series of 18 new regional hubs have been commissioned by the DfE to support Early Years. As they are established and begin sharing resources our schools can access both the Liverpool City Region & Beyond EYSP Hub (Halton and Warrington) and the Bright Futures EYSP Hub (Wigan).
