Early Career Mentor Update – Oct 24
Mentor Updates
This news page is for all experienced teachers and leaders registered as Early Career Mentors with Generate Teaching Hub.
Thank you!
It has been an absolute pleasure to ‘welcome’ over 200 mentors to years 1 and 2 of their Early Career Mentoring journey over the last few weeks. Hearing the best practice shared amongst colleagues, and the excitement to support the next generation of teachers has been such a delight for us! Mentoring is a vital element of The Golden Thread, ultimately improving outcomes for all children(which is what we are all passionate about!).
Mentors Matter!
Places on our brand new event ‘Mentors Matter!’ for new and experienced mentors, are filling up fast! The event is designed to celebrate the crucial role of mentors in the Golden Thread of PD and recognise how important they are to whole school development. The session will add value to ECF and ITT training.
The networking event takes place on 15th November from 1.00pm – 4.00pm at Ibis Hotel, Haydock. Click here to book your place.

Year 2 Mentors
Following on from your half-day Welcome Conference in September, you will have 2 final seminars. These are each an hour long and take place online. Dates, times and links will be sent out after half-term.
What’s next?
Another key part of The Golden Thread of Professional Development, are National Professional Qualifications (or NPQs). The next intake of NPQs is Spring(April), but it could be worth doing some research on our Specialist and Leadership NPQs in the meantime, to find the one most suitable for you.
For any questions about your training or the ECF offer from Generate Teaching Hub please contact hub@wpat.uk.
