UK Sustainable School Leadership Survey
This survey forms part of the Sustainable School Leadership research project – a 3-year study across the UK, funded by the Economic and Social Research Council. This is for headteachers/principals or senior/middle leaders in a school. There is a version for those in cross-school roles, such as Executive Heads or MAT leaders. It is part of a major three-year research project exploring contemporary school leadership across the UK by academics at the Universities of Nottingham and Warwick.

DfE school sustainability and climate change action plan
A key initiative of DfE’s sustainability and climate change strategy for education is ‘sustainability leadership and climate action plans’.
The strategy states: “By 2025, all education settings will have nominated a sustainability lead and put in place a climate action plan”. This includes early years settings, schools, multi-academy trusts, colleges, and universities.
Take part in EEF projects
The DfE are recruiting schools, colleges, and early years settings to take part in trials of high-potential programmes. They are also subsidising programmes that have previously shown to have a positive impact on student attainment, so more schools can benefit.
