SLEs
SLEs
Senior Leaders in Education (SLEs) are no longer being awarded to experienced teachers. These were managed by Teaching School structures up to August 2021. Designation operates for 4 years from the award and the skills and knowledge of SLEs are as valuable as ever.
Newly formed Teaching School Hubs have not been designated to coordinate SLE deployment. We are encouraging SLEs to consider options for utilising their skills set through the following structures:
- Curriculum Hubs (where relevant) – please contact the appropriate Curriculum Hub directly for information on their delivery plans and staff needs, or request details from Generate Teaching Hub.
- Early Career Framework – the new national ECF programme requires experienced facilitators to deliver training and support Teachers and Mentors in this new 2-year programme. Contact Generate Teaching Hub to discuss current opportunities.
- National Professional Qualifications – the reformed NPQ offer requires experienced facilitators, coaches and assessors to deliver training and support Teachers and Mentors in this new 2-year programme. Contact Generate Teaching Hub to discuss current opportunities.
