New Teacher- Union Information Event

Generate Teaching Hub is hosting an information event for new and trainee teachers on 14th October 2021, from 4-5pm. The meeting will be online and there is no cost.

This meeting is ideal for any teacher in their first two years of their career post QTS or those who are on their initial teacher training year. The NEU – National Education Union and NASUWT – National Association of Schoolmasters Union of Women Teachers regional leads will make presentations about their offer to new teachers sharing information on services, support and training available.
The briefing is open to attendees from our Hub area (Halton, Warrington and Wigan) and the whole of the North West Region.
Attendees will be able to ask questions and be given options for communicating with unions directly from the event. In line with the Department for Educations national reforms of teacher training and development, the first three years of a teacher’s entry into the profession is crucial. To support these needs, Generate Teaching Hub is providing and / or supporting a range of high-quality programmes through the Core Content Framework and the Early Career Framework for new teachers.

Please note, Generate Teaching Hub is facilitating this event to ensure more new teachers have access to choose of support; we recognise each teacher will assess what additional resources they need, as union membership is not compulsory however many teachers do access such services.

This notice can be forwarded to colleagues or networks.

To attend you must reserve a free place via the online booking system here
