Sign Up for a Leadership NPQ

Successful senior leaders need a well-rounded view of school leadership, going beyond just your current areas of responsibility. Each leadership NPQ allows you to fill any knowledge gaps that you may have. This is vital preparation for moving into both senior and strategic roles.

Aspiring school leaders can gain the knowledge and skills needed to progress into their new roles. Current school leaders make up a large proportion of our participants.

Participants at all stages of leadership, benefit from being able to update and hone their leadership styles according to the latest evidence and research.

To be eligible, please bear in mind that you will need at least 2 full years teaching experience.

What is available?

We work in partnership with our Local Area Leads to coordinate locally based leadership training cohorts across Halton, Warrington and Wigan, led by experienced leaders from our schools and trusts in the area. Please note, that for the Executive Leadership courses our Lead Provider, Best Practice Network, create national cohorts to support wider peer networking.

We are a licenced NPQ delivery partner for both Best Practice Network and also Teach First.

NPQ in Early Years Leadership

For leaders qualified to at least level 3 with a full and relevant qualification who are, or are aspiring to be: childminders with leadership responsibilities; managers of private, voluntary and independent nurseries; headteachers of school-based or maintained nurseries.

NPQ in Senior Leadership

For for school leaders who are, or are aspiring to be, a senior leader with cross-school responsibilities.

NPQ in Headship

For for school leaders who are, or are aspiring to be, a headteacher or head of school with responsibility for leading a school.

NPQ in Executive Leadership

For for school leaders who are, or are aspiring to be, an executive headteacher or have a school trust CEO role with responsibility for leading several schools.
