The North West Learning Partnership would like to invite ALL Headteachers, SLT members and pastoral leads to attend a briefing session with Andrew Cowley author of The Wellbeing Curriculum, embedding children’s wellbeing in primary schools. The event will be held on Wednesday 8th December from 9.30 to 11.30 online.
The session will be exploring the growing culture of well-being, wellbeing for children and wellbeing for staff including leaders, providing a taster for the future. This is free of charge to ALL schools including delivery and all course materials.
Andrew Cowley is an experienced primary practitioner, a former Deputy Head Teacher, and a passionate advocate of principled and authentic wellbeing in our schools. Co-founder of the Healthy Toolkit Twitter account and blog, Andrew is the author of two books for Bloomsbury Education: The Wellbeing Toolkit (2019) focuses upon the strategic ways of embedding a culture of wellbeing amongst school staff; The Wellbeing Curriculum (2021) advocates a three-step programme to establish effective and impactful wellbeing strategies alongside character education in our primary schools. In our session today, Andrew will discuss how we can establish a culture of whole-school wellbeing in our settings, how we might go about cementing this culture for children and will also focus upon wellbeing for school leaders. One lucky participant will win a copy of both of Andrew’s books for their school CPD library.
