Registering for a Specialist NPQ
After a busy period of recruitment over Summer, we are absolutely delighted to welcome and induct 225 local teachers on to an NPQ this Autumn!
Applications for the Spring 2024 cohort are now live and we are looking forward to recruiting for another intake.
Funding is still available for the remainder of the academic year, so register while you can using the steps listed in the leaflets below.
**New NPQ in Leading Primary Maths**
The newest to the suite of specialist NPQs, is Leading Primary Maths with our first cohort running this Spring. Find out more about this NPQ and register here.
The next fully funded wave of NPQs will be starting in February 2024 and applications open from November.
Additional grants are also available to schools with smaller pupil numbers.
What is available?
Teachers can complete one or more NPQs, to refine their skills and expertise.
Click on the links below for more details and a brochure outlining the structure, content and framework behind each NPQ.
For teachers who have completed Maths Mastery (or equivalent) and have responsibilities for leading numeracy across their primary school.
For teachers who have, or are aspiring to have, responsibilities for leading literacy across a school, year group, key stage or phase.
For teachers and school leaders who have, or are aspiring to have, responsibilities for leading teaching in a subject or year. For example, head of subject, key stage head or head of department.
NPQ in Leading Behaviour & Culture
For teachers and school leaders who have, or are aspiring to have, responsibilities for leading behaviour and/or supporting pupil wellbeing in their school. For example, head of year or roles with other pastoral responsibilities.
NPQ in Leading Teacher Development
For teachers and school leaders who have, or are aspiring to have, responsibilities for leading the development of other teachers in their school, for example CPD lead or ITT lead.
We work in partnership with our Local Area Leads to coordinate training cohorts across Halton, Warrington and Wigan.
We are a licenced NPQ delivery partner for both Best Practice Network and Teach First.
