School Placements
Carefully Planned & Supported School Placements
Placements are the heart of our School-Based Teacher Training course. Time in the classroom – supported by experienced teachers as mentors – for each Trainee is fundamental to a successful start to a teaching career.
School-Based training will take place in local, partner schools in the Warrington area with other schools in Halton, St. Helens and Cheshire. Our placement schools are graded as Good or Outstanding by Ofsted.
You will compete a minimum of 120 days in placement usually in three different schools where mentors will guide, support and develop your professional skills and knowledge.
Each of the three placement are chosen based on trainees’ development needs and prior experience with an aim to offer the broadest experience possible and to develop them as teaching professionals.
From September 2024 we will be offering 4 weeks of Intensive Training and Practice to provide further opportunities to learn skills and gain knowledge that is immediately applied and practiced.
