Coordinated Support
The Department for Education have created a coordinated, evidence based pathway into teaching that starts in your training year.
All teacher training programmes are planned from the Core Content Framework (CCF).
Generate Teaching Hub work with Liverpool Hope University to ensure our primary and SEND trainee experience is built upon the CCF.
When a teacher completes their initial training year and qualifies, they then receive a structured 2-year induction period based on the Early Career Framework.
The CCF and ECF combine to offer a planned process of training and support of at least 3 years for all teachers as they start their career.
We have carefully designed and sequenced our School Based Teacher Training curriculum from the CCF, so that our trainees will receive high quality training suitable to the phase and age ranges they will be teaching.
What Content is Covered?
We want you to succeed in the classroom and our sequence of expert training has been designed around the CCF to support your development in 5 core areas:
- Behaviour management
- Pedagogy
- Curriculum
- Assessment
- Professional Behaviours.
In addition to the requirements of the framework, you will become familiar with the integration of additional analysis and critique of theory, research and expert practice. It is also our statutory duty to ensure that you are fully aware of your duties in respect of safeguarding and equalities legislation.

Continued Framework Development
In February 2024, the Department for Education announced an update to the new teacher frameworks and recommended reading for new teachers entering the profession.
It combines the requirements of the Core Content Framework and Early Career Framework, creating a fully integrated 3-year pathway for new teachers. It will come into effect from September 2025.
