Our Local ITT Provider Network

Since 2021, Generate Teaching Hub has facilitated a peer network for local providers of teacher training.

This is a termly forum that meets online and in person, to share good practice, sector news and provide practical support to local teacher training providers.

Membership is inclusive and seeks to find colleagues from Halton, Warrington or Wigan who would describe themselves as any of the following:

• Staff from schools, trusts and agencies that provide teacher training.
• Teachers or leaders who offer training or placements to trainees.
• School or classroom based mentors.
• School or trust leaders with a professional interest in teacher training.

The meetings for 2023/24 academic year are planned as follows from 3.30 to 5pm:

• Wednesday 22nd November 2023 (online) with a focus on Internships
• Wednesday 6th March 2024 in Wigan with a focus on ITaPs
• Wednesday 19th June 2024 (venue and topic tbc)

The meetings are professional but relaxed, and designed to foster trust and support amongst local teacher training professionals. No minutes are taken, to encourage a safe space for practitioners to enquire and share. Agendas are flexible and will respond to local issues and needs.
