Within the Generate Teaching Hub’s area of Halton, Warrington and Wigan, several other local providers of Initial Teacher Training operate as well as our School Based Teacher Training programme

As a Teaching School Hub our role is to support the collaboration between local providers of teacher development. One way we do this is through a local teacher training provider peer network; find out more here.

  • Culcheth High School Campus in Warrington offers Secondary initial training with a PGCE.
  • Generate Teaching Hub provides school based teacher training with a PGCE for Primary, Early Years, SEN and QTS Apprenticeship routes.
  • Great Schools Trust is based in Warrington offering Secondary teacher training via the School Direct with PGCE and Apprenticeship routes.
  • Kingsbridge SCITT located in Wigan, offers Primary and Secondary school based teacher training with PGCE and an Apprenticeship route.
  • Learning Futures Partnership is in Wigan providing Secondary and Primary initial teacher training with PGCE.
  • TCAT Train to Teach in Warrington offers Primary and Secondary School training places with PGCE.
  • The Cobbs Infant and Nursery School in Warrington offers initial teacher training with the award of QTS status and a PGCE.
  • The Heath Trust in Runcorn offers Secondary training places with PGCE.
  • Trinity Hub at Golborne High School in Wigan offers school based Secondary teacher training through SCITT and PGCE routes.
