Ofsted have announced their plans for an independent review of the new teacher training and development programmes.
This term, the new Early Career Framework (a 2-year support package to new teachers) and the reformed National Professional Qualifications for both leaders and specialist teachers began.
Ofsted will assess the progress and, where possible, the effectiveness of the programmes that form part of the government’s plans to support teachers throughout all stages of their career journey. Monitoring visits will start in October and be focused on the national providers commissioned to delivery these new programmes.
