Final Reminder: Register your April 2025 ECTs and Mentors
Just as a final reminder, please ensure that you register all of your ECTs and Mentors using the two steps below:

All ECTs and Mentors need to be registered on the DfE portal to formally register their training and gain access to their online learning platform. Manage training for early career teachers

All ECTs need to have their induction registered with an Appropriate Body Generate Teaching Hub - ECT Paperless Induction and Assessment Management System
New ECTs and Mentors registering with Generate and Teach First as their training provider will need to attend a Welcome Conference. The dates for these are:
Early Career Teacher Entitlement (ECTE)
As you may be aware the DfE have recently published updated guidance to reflect the changes being made to the training and support for ECTs starting in September 2025. Read more about the changes here.
September Registrations
If you have recently appointed, or in the process or appointing an ECT for September the window to register these for ECTE is not yet open. The DfE portal is planning to open in late June for you to register ECTs who are new to your school. We will keep you updated so look out for further information in the coming weeks.
Appropriate Body Updates
Thank you to all Induction Tutors who completed the Spring Term Progress Reviews and Assessments before the Easter Break. The Appropriate Body Board were keen to highlight and celebrate the good practice that is going on in supporting ECTs in our schools. Our Appropriate Body are keen to support Induction Tutors and we may be in touch to give you some feedback about the quality of your reports.
