Selection Process

Step 1 - Application

To prepare ahead of submitting your application, please have to hand your personal details (including address, date of birth and contact details), work experience, qualification grades (or predicted) and a personal statement.

Step 2 – Eligibility Check and Assessment

Following receipt of your application, we will shortlist this against programme eligibility and contact suitable candidates through DfE Apply to arrange an interview. We will request proof of your identification and qualification certificates at this point. In the meantime, you will have a short maths assessment to complete.

Step 3 – Interview and Observation

Now is your time to shine! During your observation, we want to see how you interact with a small group of children at one of our partner schools. We will be in touch in advance with any information you may need ahead of your session.

As part of the interview process, our panel is keen to learn about you, your interest in teaching and your expectations. The panel includes a representative from Generate, plus a senior leader from one of our placement schools.

There will be plenty of time to ask questions and ensure that this programme is right for you. We are there to support you at this pivotal time in your career!

Step 4 - Accepting Our Offer

Following this, successful candidates will be made a formal offer to join our programme. We will liaise with Liverpool Hope University to process your offer and enrol you on the programme ready for a September start.
